Is it just the headlights you are thinking of changing, as far as I know they won’t lineup with bumper and grill etc.

Hi,thanks for the reply, I understand that mate but I was looking on the Bay and there is a d3 with these fitted with a d3 bumper and thought it might be worth a shot, besides if they are plug and play I could find a bumper when one comes available
So really need to know if I will need to cut plug get programmed etc
Cheers Andy

Think you will find a small amount of modification will be needed, as the D4 wings are different where they meet the rear of the headlight, so this would need to be trimmed away or the wings changed. There used to be a template on the site posted by a former member - not sure if anyone has a copy they can send you to enable you to trim the front edge of the wings.
The front bumper is a different profile so would also need to be a D4 unit or you will have a gap below the headlamps, and finally the grille is different as the main beam unit in the D4 assembly is a different position and size. Also parking sensors and headlamp washers are different if you have them fitted
The LED lights on the D4 need some work to operate so theres a bit to do to get it all correct
Might be easier to get the D3 Xenons, change the grille and remove the orange inserts in the headlights to get the look a bit more like a D4
heres my ones - the orange in the lights on the left is because it has orange bulbs for the indicators rather than LEDs as i was having problems getting some so just used what i could buy locally - Must stop buying shiny toys....

Forgot to add the Xenon lights need to be enabled in the CCF or they flash like a disco light for a second when you turn them on every time
Think the connector is OK though as I dont think there is any difference on that (cornering lights wont operate if they are the AFS ones you buy unless you run in extra cabling and control unit etc so this is a lot of work)Must stop buying shiny toys....

Engine problem apparently, but do you see what I mean about D4 lights with a D3 bumper! And actually they are even 2015 not 2010 like I originally posted

It's already been answered, but a simple search of the forum will tell you all you need to know.
You cannot just fit later model lights to a D3. The wings need cutting or replacing but you may get away without changing the bumper. Grill will also require changing, bonnet is fine. Mods:
Front Fogs + Halos
FBH Remote Control
The 1st Ever RRS Modded Grill
Garmin Nuvi + D4 Surround + Reversing Camera.

Rear Boot Spoiler.

They are the D3 wings so will have been trimmed at the front edge to accommodate the depth of the headlights. All the rest of the bodywork is like an original spec D3 (pre 2008 revision) its just had D4 LED rear lamp units, therefore there will either be a gap between the bottom of the headlight and the top of the bumper or they will have used something to hide the space such as modified D2 headlight trim.Must stop buying shiny toys....
