Anyone experienced this one? On my d4 2011 commercial if I have the interior lights on auto, my battery will be flat in the morning. The lights never appear on when on the drive. when I lock it, they go out. I’ve tried numerous times putting it down to coincidence, but I can guarantee a flat battery if they are on auto. I fitted led bulbs last night but not sure that will cure it, something must be wrong somewhere ?
Thanks guysON IT LIKE A CAR BONNET

Checking puddle lights........... mmmmmmmm........ bit like closing the fridge door to see if the light goes out.
Maybe take the lamps from the puddle lights and leave it in auto If it is them then it may solve your mystery. But not your problem.
Good luck."Track day running - Don't put your foot back on the accelerator until your absolutely sure you don't have to take it off again"

I think it does show up if looked at from the right direction and it's dark. ISTR MrH discovered this trying to track down a similar problem.

Puddle lights can be viewed on a closed rear door from the opposite side window.A vaccine does not stop you catching a virus, or passing it on, or getting ill from it, really ill. It does reduce the likelyhood of you dying when really, really ill. Stay Alive - KEEP AWAY FROM PEOPLE.

Could it be the glove box lamp?- if not adjusted or not fully closed it will stay on It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

Disabling puddle lights?
Has anyone a suggestion on how to disable the puddle lights all together? We are camping and found out that leaving the doors open, the interior lights off, still drained the battery. Not nice when you are miles from nowhere.
