Just a word of caution Googsy make sure you don’t have any clearance issues with the 295/45’s.
When I first put the Stormers on my RRS, I went for 295/45 Pirellis, but found that they were rubbing the suspension at the top of the rim & promptly removed the wheels for safety reasons.
I swapped out the tyres for the LR prescribed 275/40’s & had no further clearance issues.
Now I know that my experience was with a RRS rather than a D3, but my understanding, is that both vehicles share the same chassis / suspension set up !! ??
However, I believe that the problems I experienced were down to the fact that my Stormers are genuine LR wheels, whereas copy rims, by a third party manufacturer seem to have a slighter greater offset, thereby giving a bit more clearance, allowing the fitment of 295/45’s
Also, if you want to check what a different size tyre does to your rolling radius, or other measurement changes, have a look at this tyre size calculator……

If you get the same wheel as the ones I've got, there are no issues whatsoever on rubbing.
You just need to be aware that other companies 'take' on a Stormer may not have as much off set, then you may have issues as described by Zeb.
edit - knows me as Ron

That's no problem Googsy
They're in the shed if you ever want them.
With regard to tyres..........
A mate of mine has a set each of 295/45 110 20 Pirelli Scorpion Zero & 295/45 114 20 Conti Contact Sport 4X4 in stock & would do a good deal for anyone who wanted them

I also bought Stormers from Devon @ DGT (after a recomendation from Ronp), he's a top man & will get you the wheels & tyres in no time. If you want the price i paid for the wheels & tyres send me a pm.
I look at pictures of my car with the old 19's & in my opinion it looks unfinished.

I ran the RRS supercharger 20's (genuine LR) (the "other" style 20's, not stormers), and I dont think 295/45's would have worked on those. It was damn close with 275/45s, so it does look like its wheel style dependant.

Right I have ordered the 275 45r 20s General Grabber UHPS. Works out the same as ordering from the UK and I have added peace of mind as its a local fitter etc all for 1400 Euro. Still not entirely happy with 110 rating but thanks to Barrgs formula should be all ok. Thanks all for your help!
Cheers

Another tip
If you look in the handbook (certainly for UK spec) , it recommends minimum 111 tyre rating. If you look at th bottom of the drivers door, you have a tyre pressure label. On the Aus spec D3, this label is different, giving a minimum tyre rating of 109, and LR wont tell me why its different for OZ.
I did contemplate getting the label (nick @ yeovil was ordering one for me), I have the OZ label p/number (RTC500310), such that if questioned, you could point to the LR label on your dooor with the 109 spec info.
not really devious am I?
