D4 MY15 Sunroof Pipe Split

Hi, I've just been told by my local dealers that I have a split in the drainage pipe from the Sunroof and that its not covered under warranty. I will therefore have to pay to have the headlining removed and new pipes fitted. Has anybody else had to pay?

Still under main warranty... They say its not covered as it's 'not mechanical'!!!

No expert but doesn't sound right to me - I've had my D3 / 4 into dealer for dashboard / seat squeaks etc. - not mechanical

Which dealer?

The dealer is in the NW... I've asked them to re-confirm that this is correct?

You are close to me, I've used Williams Manchester (a lot) and Salmons Stockport (a little) and unless the world has gone totally mad I cant see either of them pulling a stunt like that.

I've stopped using Williams now due to car age vs. servicing cost (use local independent), but when I did use them, never a complaint about what they did in nearly 10 years of D3 & 4 ownership

I'm pretty sure the dealer is in the NW, but ask them to confirm it anyway. Rolling with laughter

Seriously though, if they confirm it's not covered, I would make sure all the Censored in the NW hits the fan!

Good luck
