They’re quite easy to install. There’s everything from eBay or AliExpress “el cheapo” style side steps, companies like bearmach and then of course LR originals. Prices from €200 upwards. You’re probably ok without the genuine ones. If you’re going to off-road sliders might be better than steps but YMMV.
If you don’t find a HSE with factory tinted windows it’s again fairly common and easy operation to get a professionally installed aftermarket tint, SunGuard, LLumar, 3M, Saint-Gobain, etc. all make the stuff in different shades and takes about two hours to install properly.
Good luck.

Thanks Kajtzu, not really worth getting hung up on these things then as they are easy to retrofit.

Been looking extensively at discos for sale and think I have sussed out what I'm looking for:
In an ideal world:
2011+ (for the more economical SDV engine)
XS or ideally HSE spec
cream leather 2 tone interior (not sure what the trim is officially called)
Side steps (3 young kids and a short a*se missis!)
10 spoke alloys
privacy glass
very interested in reversing cam for hitching up the caravan
comprehensive history & cam belt done etc
As far as colour goes I'm thinking silver or black but not too fussy
I have seen a HSE that ticks all the boxes except side steps. how expensive are these to pick up second hand and how easy are they to fit? I'm assuming they just bolt on?
I bought some aftermarket side steps, £115, look and seem great.
Took an afternoon to fit, pretty easy.

Am I right in saying if its a SDV with the older 'stalk' style gear selector as opposed to the newer round dial type, then its a 6 speed not 8 speed? seems to be MY12 onwards with the dial
