FBH fired up for the first time this winter. No great drama, but after restarting noticed a lot of white smoke at the front and diesel smell. Assumed this was just getting going after the summer, so ignored it! Noticed a lot of white smoke again in the evening, so following morning decided to investigate. Started the engine from cold and heard heater kick in - no smoke from heater exhaust, just warm air, however smoke coming from under the bonnet. Lifted the bonnet to find a lot of smoke coming from the heater and around the exhaust pipe, especially the securing bracket. Turned it all off and it appears there is a fuel leak on the heater, or on the supply pipe, this is then somehow tracking onto the heater exhaust pipe, and when hot generates a lot of smoke. I've pulled the fuse for now - has anyone else had an issue with a fuel leak on the heater? I couldn't see an obvious leak, but signs of oil under the heater!

Not seen any with an internal fuel leak, sometimes the rubber pipe joining the fuel plastic pipe can become brittle and split. Bodsys Brake Bible
