Restoring bumpers and trim
Restoring bumpers and trim
Having had a problem trying to get my bumpers and trim looking as they ought too after getting wax polish on them and trying every thing I could use to get them back too good with no success, I had a idea to try them magic white little sponges on them and got fantastic results,no need to use back to black or any thing like that, the finish is spot on. I used a little soap and water dipped the sponge in and give it a rub then wash off, when dry it leaves a white residue which looks worse than when you started but just buff it off with a dry cloth and you have bumper and trim looking like new.i did mine over a week ago and they're still looking good.
Glad to share my good news Hope this helps anyone cheers

They're a cleaning sponge a very soft and dense a bit like memory foam
You can get them from Morrisons / lidl etc, eBay also not expensive and you'll save a fortune from not buying back to black

Magic Sponges - they do work but are obviously abrasive
Every thing you clean with is abrasive even polish, these are very mild indeed and didn't do any damage to mine after all your only taking the scum off

I thought magic sponge was like a solid version of microfibre cloths but with smaller denser fibres to provide an enormous surface area. Great for cleaning tea stains off cups.2014 MY Discovery XS Indus Silver. Sadly gone. Second last LR of forty eight years continuous ownership.
