So just an update in the search. I am working in Wicklow at moment. Found this for sale in Athlone.
http://www.athloneautos.ie/used-cars.php?m...ch_submit=
Went to see it today. Wasn’t as clean as I would like. But I did like it. The mileage attracted me (77,580) UNTIL this.
So in 2013 it had 83000 according to service book. (When I ask dealer he said must be mistake)
2014 according to NCT cert (MOT equivalent) it was 76,822
2017 according to NCT Cert in July it was 77,028
I bought an Irish car check and that report said in March 2017 it was 75,800
Say what????
Sigh... the search continues.

Plugin IID, unplug cable to MAF (immediately after air filter box), scan PCM fault codes. It’ll show you what the powertrain thinks is the true odometer value. Supposedly (it was kind of implied by LR country support when I asked this a few months ago) it isn’t possible for it to go backwards unlike IPC and BCM...
That being said, cars are cheap over there. D3 with ~200000 km go here regularly for 17-22 keur. Partly due to their scarcity but also because of the high taxes built into the price. YMMV. 8)

Definitely agree v8 is very very smooth and quiet compared to diesels. I have sold my 05 v8 hse a year or so ago at 142k miles. After a short break just got myself another 05 reg v8 @93k miles SE spec but with most hse stuff like rear heated seats, sunroof +moon roof etc with 2 former owners and same owner for the last 10 yrs and full service history. Only thing i was hoping to have was the logic 7 but this one being the SE spec only equipped with standard harman kardon, though it is still pretty good quality even on the aux input.
Anyway picked up the disco and Did 150+ miles in it back home on motorway and very happy! Managed to get 22mpg but road was busy and very windy, will post few pics soon

Yeah same as myself... after short break I am itching to get back into one again. The one I sold in Feb of this year was a HSE Spec.. 2006. It had 190,000 on it when I sold it.. I had had it for 4 years. The 3.6 TDV8 Range Rover I have now is only returning 24mpg with the General AT3 tyres I have on it. And not near the same power or smooth running
