Reversing camera manual wire location
Could someone point me in the right direction to find a place to pick up the reversing wire near the gearbox please (colour & location) I want the camera to be switchable between auto when reverse selected and "on" to see what the towing load is doing.

We've had this before.
I'll do a quick search see if I can't find you a link, won't be near gearbox though but you could route forward if needs be.Mods:

Pick it up at the fuse box by glovebox.
Use piggy back fuse.
2 fuses available

Perfect - thanks and much appreciated. I would have had a lot of covers off looking for one near the gear stick So fuse P5 piggy backed or looking for a green wire if there is a connector nearby. I will photograph my installation for reference

It's green with a brown stripe if you go for the rear cubby cables.
There is a whole handful of green cables in there but they all have different coloured stripes. Mods:

Hi , don't we need an external box for the reverced camera ? Would only the reverse cable and a camera do the job ? My disco 3 has satnav. How will this change to the camera ?
Thanks for your help

So you don't need a GVIF ?

No you don't but the screen won't auto select the camera upon selecting reverse unless you use a GVIF.
You can however navigate to the reverse camera by using the hidden menu, not ideal admittedly but a much cheaper work around. Mods:
