Iphone 8 in MY10 crackle
Anybody else have a MY10 and upgraded to an iPhone 8...
If so does your phone crackle when making a call via the bluetooth, mine does and it is so bad I can't really have long phone calls.
My old iPhone 6 was fine and I have swapped this new iphone 8 out once and it still does it.
I have linked it to a VW Transporter at work and its fine so its only my car.
I know apple had an issue with crackling on the iPhone 8 but I think this is different as its only when linked via bluetooth in MY car that I get the issue.
I have an 8+ and a MY11 with no issues. Apple has recently patched the iOS for a know crackling issue. Do you have the latest iOS (11.0.2 I think)?
The blurb states:
Quote:
Fixes an issue where crackling sounds may occur during calls for a small number of iPhone 8 and 8 Plus devices

yes latest software on phone so not that.
The iPhone 8 is on bluetooth version 5 and I think version 4 was around 2010 so maybe your car has a newer bluetooth module and mine is running the older version 3 bluetooth?

I didn't do it, the guy I use to service the car did, he's handy with a computer.
Not sure if it solves my problem but the bulletin that he gave me shows it fixes lots of issues

No not really...some days its worse than others. I just leave the phone on the back seat and that seems to help as its nearer the module.
