Good to hear, so fully charge the battery and then disconnect and reconnect the new one?

Did you read the 1st review on that link. Struggled to fit on a D3.
Might have just been a one off though

Mine was easy to fit on the D3, just heavy.

No problem with mine either.
And yes to charging a 'new' battery.
It will probably be okay, but I bought a new one a few years ago for a Jeep and it was too flat to start it. Took it back to the supplier and the first thing they asked was if I had charged it before fitting.
Also with the Disco being power hungry it best to make sure the battery is fully charged as it's hard to get it fully charged just from driving it.

That's great thank you. So the size is ok and it's fits fine? I'm guessing I'll only lose my clock? Everything else should remain?

Fitted that exact one to mine recently. No issue except the little vent pipe on the old battery was the bulkhead end and in the new was the other end so had to pull the pipe through a bit.
And it’s advisable to charge before hand, as they might have been sat on a shelf for a year.
Mine took a whole day to reach full charge on a ctek, so much have been pretty low.

The shop that sold me by new battery connected a portable power pack to the OBD2 port to provide standby power during the swap. Car didn’t notice a thing.
