What is this??
Found rolling around on the floor in the passanger side front foot well. No idea what it is and don't know if it's from the car or not. Some sort of radio suppression thingie? Thinking about it, it may be from the dashcam fitting. Anyone know what it is?

Looks like a ferrite ring (think that’s the name) as you say probably from your dash camWhen you are dead, you do not know you are dead. All of the pain is felt by others. The same thing happens when you are stupid.

Sounds right, it's quite heavy for its size.

Hard to tell for sure, but it looks like a ferrite bead. Used on lots of electrical cords to suppress electrical interference.
Does it have a metal ring inside that looks a little like a magnet?
May well be from the dashcam, although it looks bigger than I would have expected for that. More like something you would find on a tv or DVD player.King of the typo.

Looks like a couple of magnet/metal bits inside.

Yep, definitely a ferrite bead.
Chuck it in a safe place and if you notice anything odd, go and fail to find it again.
I’ve always found them unnecessary on most devices.King of the typo.

I'll bung it in the glove box, along with all the other junk.

As above but the cable size needed looks too big for a dashcam. Could it be off a laptop power cable?
It's off the supply cable to the cloaking device.A vaccine does not stop you catching a virus, or passing it on, or getting ill from it, really ill. It does reduce the likelyhood of you dying when really, really ill. Stay Alive - KEEP AWAY FROM PEOPLE.
