Parking Brake - How long to activate?

Now that I have serviced and lubricated the parking brake shoes, (one side was seized, other side had some movement) it takes longer to draw in the cable and release.

Maybe nearly 2 seconds ?

I guess this normal? and nothing I need to do?

I followed the bible and backed it off 8 clicks.

Yep sounds about right, it depends on how worn the shoes are and how stretched the cables hvae become.

It is same for me, about two seconds - not too fast compared to lever operated ones. But the wear is definitely the factor.

I like to adjust mine so it sounds about right (probably a bit shorter than 2 seconds, but it's hard to judge in the mind). Then I know the cables are pulling the right length. Over time it get's longer, which I take as a sign that an adjustment is due. Thumbs Up
