Hi,
Wasn't sure about this but the second time now the bonnet has lifted up on the drivers side, first time it happened I though maybe I just hadn't shut the bonnet as i'd had it open before the trip. But yesterday I know the bonnet hadn't been open since Sunday, there is no grease on the catches, they both look quite dry.
Is there any adjustment to them?
The bonnet doesn't open when i pull up on it, I can understand why it keeps popping open on the motorway?

I've had this a few times and I think its actually quite common.
You can either clean out the bonnet catch from black gunk and make sure its free to move or buy a replacement catchup.
Try former - if not latter

I had the same issue several times on my D4 and in the end the dealer replaced the clips.

Mine was seized due to congealed dust and grease. It only latches by a light spring operating a pawl to lock the rotating cam. Cleaned it all and problem gone.
