2nd batt is in, the quest continues.
...... apart from in the 2nd battery box. SWMBO is having a mini hissyfit at the prospect of moving ABS stuff out of what should be the aux battery box.
Anywhere else a second battery can go, even if I have to buy an new battery that will fit? ISTR in the early days of the D4 there were lots of imaginative ideas, including in the rear pannier or above the compressor air intake.
Thoughts oh wise ones out there?

Del, you don't touch the ABS to fit the aux battery. Just a control module and frame and the sounder needs adjusting and moving the wiring out of the way.
I've fitted a few in D4. The only problem is if you have the stop start battery. (Which you don't).
Or you can run a heavy duty cable to the rear and fit in left hand cubby box (see Jester1967) Paul had some brackets made up to fit it easier there.
No good if you have rear aircon though.
So the next alternative is a battery box, I've fitted a couple of those as well. Lol. National Luna do some with USB ports and twin anderson connector. ArdbegBold has front battery, rear battery and anderson for rear connection/solar or battery box. Works very well.Bodsys Brake Bible

OK, the front battery box is back in the running. I've got the heavy duty wiring I took from the D3, plus the solenoid, so should be easy enough to put back together. A plan could be being hatched. Though SWMBO has banned me from doing it.

For me to keep the beers moooooooochie cold. Mostly to run the fridge when the car's not running, no draining the crank batt to keep beer and milk cold and ham and cheese from going mouldy.

I didn't realise that the fridge ran with the car turned off

It runs my blackvue with no fears of not starting the car, along with winch and Engle fridge. It's also handy to jump from yourself if ever needed.

Del is talking about his Engle rather than the centre cubby cooler I'm guessing.

Yep, the Engel.
Can't get enough beers, ham, cheese, milk, bacon and eggs in the centre cubby box.
