Compressor, broke exhaust valve
Hello mates,
Messaging from across the pond, you guys have a bigger community over in the UK it appears. Need some advice, got a cheap Discovery 3 (LR3) trying to make her road worthy. The compressor isn't running so I pulled it and broke the exhaust valvd trying to rebuild it. See the picture.
Any saving this, or time for a new compressor?
Thanks

plus 1 what globetrotter has said
would also replace the compressor
i went done the same route in trying to repair mine , after spending £50 or so on repair kits i had the same problem with the threads stripping so fitted a new one and also replaced the bracket at the same time , as the bushings were shot and cracked on the corner
buy some dinitrol or hamerite to paint the chassis whilst the compressor is out
if u do have to replace the bracket , make sure u buy the chassis clips and new bolts
