Not bad at all...but the Discovery badge should go!
What name would you give it guys? It seems that JLR is needing some help anyway, so let's do it proper! I'd go for "The new Land Rover DUNE"

Could still retain the discovery badge
Discovery
Discovery Sport
Discovery Utility
More i think about it I think it would sell, Mercedes have announced something similar. This would be more premium, have far better offroad and onroad capability with air suspension to lower the back end for loading etc. The potential for different rear cab tops would make for a very flexible offering appealing to expedition setups and commercial use too.MY06 S - Gone but not forgotten

Tailgate and a big rugged adaptable loadspace what's not to like 8) Something like that could make the discovery brand appeal to both ends of the market the new x5/q7 customers and the traditional customer base requiring that bit more utility their D4 gives them. The potential to add customised tops to the back is massive too with Sports, expedition and commercial ones etc.MY06 S - Gone but not forgotten

Would be an interesting engineering challenge to build that without a traditional chassis underneath. Making that in the D5's chassis would be some task.Visiting from rrsport.co.uk
