Rear Propshaft
I have been hearing (and feeling) a new noise from the back. Sounded like a wheel bearing, I have recently changed one, and the other one is good, so I ruled that out.
I was poking about the drive shafts the other evening, and then the propshaft, and I noticed the centre bearing support was split.
I've read all the threads on rear props, and I take the advice to 'just get a new one' - but I just wanted to check the joints. So this afternoon, I took the propshaft off, and guess what, the UJ is knackered as well!

New propshaft ordered this afternoon. I guess I'll be fitting that one evening this week.Richard

Did mine this afternoon, the centre bearing had split in fact it was split nearly all the way round , when I got it off and checked it the joints were goosed as well
Hopefully that's cured the rumbling

Just had the one on my G4 replaced under warranty! Centre bearing had split...can't believe the difference it makes to the drive! Clearly a common fault now they have come of age!
