[Free] D3 alternator - faulty but repairable?

Does anyone want an alternator to re-build? Its done 40k (off a 57 plate D3).

Ignition charge light came up - check it at the time and was charging just under 12 v.... 11. something from memory. Reading on the web, suggests a rectifier problem but decided to replace for new - got the old one if anyone wants it?

Seems a shame to dump it - FREE to a good home in the Cardiff area - collection only please folks

A small donation to the forum would be great?

Having a clear out in the shed.......probably more to follow

I get to Cardiff with work so I could collect.

thanks for that link, I've been thinking about doing a preventive alternator change to avoid failure, but since its mainly the diode pack that fails I like the idea of replacing jsut that more.
