Dropped the Discovery off yesterday at my local garage after the engine management light came on, the brakes started grinding and the boot stopped working (all within the space of two days) end result being:
Replaced two x EGR's
Fixed Boot Switch
New rear discs & pads
Looking at about £700. I was a little frustrated to hear that they just replaced the EGR Valves without getting in touch with me first- so I could organise getting them blanked off and the software upgrade, but hey ho - sure they will be fine for a few years and with time so short, it's a relief just to get them sorted and back to normal.
I will keep it for sale at what is probs an unrealistic price, but don't think I could let it go anyway....
