Expedition Overland
Watched this last night.
Jap cars but a great great video and it makes me extremely envious we do not have much in the way of wild parts!

Ive watched all their series. They are really well produced and high quality.
The central America series is good, but "less offroad" if you know what I mean.
Another channel I really like is Ronny Dahl. He has a really good presence in the videos - Not over the top or irritating.
Worth watching some of his trip videos.

That website is the absolute nuts. Very very slick and professional. The youtube vids are ace too and the interactive member map is awsome.
I have personally made contact with UK based enthusiasts plus a Dutch group whom I am hoping to meet up with in Germany in late October.D3 07 SE - still going strong

I love Expedition Overland. I've watched Clay Croft and the gang for years, since they first started going out on weekend trips as a bunch of mates and filming it, through to the latest series. I've watched them all many times.
I think it's amazing how they saw opportunity in making a show out of what started out as simple trips in their own vehicles, through to getting sponsorship deals, going further afield, through to where they are now where Toyota is literally giving them brand new vehicles as sponsorship. They also now have the X hanger which is a purpose built huge garage/shop and production facility. Amazing. They take their kit, their training and their drills really seriously.
My favorite episode is where they take Team 5, which is a group of ex-special forces medics to a remote location in Central America to provide medical help for the local community. Something I'd love to do.
Best way to enjoy their videos is in order, and from the start. Grab yourself a few beers and start with the original North America series: http://www.xoverland.com/videos/

This was a video I watched live at the time where he introduced the new X Hanger

Damn you all... I found this thread when researching overland prep... and ever since my life has been consumed by binge watching Expedition Overland episodes!
So jealous of the yanks having so much access to so much space. Well made programmes too!

I was at the Overland Show over the weekend where I was told that one of them is the son of the owner of an American football club.
If that is the case, it goes some way to explain their virtually unlimited budget - even despite Toyota giving them vehicles allegedly.D3 07 SE - still going strong
