Recommendations where to get a recon D4 Transfer box?

Hi, first post by a first time LR owner.

Had my 2009 D4 3.0 TDV6 XS for a month. 162k. New engine and 2 new turbos installed by previous owner at 157k.

Noticed a whine when driving, similar to the whine from the turbo of my old VW golf Wink Indy who serviced it today says he’s pretty sure it’s the transfer box.

Looking for recommendation of where to source a reconditioned one? Had a look on eBay etc and happy to keep searching but recommendations of any companies / websites would be appreciated Very Happy

Many thanks

I’d check your diffs first personally. Drop the oil and look for ant metal particles. The side bearing on one side is smaller and can disintegrate. Causes whining. I was convinced it was my front diff - it was the rear….
Series one 1949 - in bits, chassis is strapped to the ceiling in my garage (beside the canoe)
LR 90 - In bits
Disco 3 - currently in bits
