Whilst taking the car apart I came across some damage that could only have been caused in the manufacture. Whilst it is not life threatening it just goes to show why there are so many silly problems that are hide to find.
Picture 1 shows two sets of missing plastic lugs that have been broken off by force.
Picture 2 shows the completely blocked battery breather tube.

Possible, but don't think so. The pipe was well trapped and the screws looked untouched. Oh and the tape was still on the fuse box.

Check your breathers. I love the tape over the fuse box to stop it rattling. Took mine off and it was so noisy. Retaped it again now.

Talking of damage one of my vertically challenged nurses managed to rip the NSF passenger door lower plastic trim off on the grass verge as she closed the door (access height).
Didn't realise it was held on by about eight Lego type plastic press studs, of which one was missing, this took several sharp taps to re-fix.
Later on found that 2 of the wheel arch spats and one other lower door trim weren't fully fixed. Must have been like that from delivery needless to say they are all fully fixed now.

It is so difficult to check these things and it annoys me. That is why the UK car industry has failed I think, slap dash work and strikes. Woooo, thats not PC
