Plastic deterioration
Just noticed on my D4 on 64 plate the windscreen scuttle panel is deteriorating badly, any body else had this problem?

Loads of threads regarding poor scuttle panel finish and the subsequent changing there of.
For reasons known only to themselves, Land Rover decided to manufacture the scuttle panels from UV intolerant plastic which, over time, loses its sheen and no amount of back to black will restore it.
Yours is as bad as I've seen especially considering it's fitted to a 3 year old car. Mods:

Probably is depending also from the car wash chemicals....
I changed mine one year ago and now I put the ""Gtechniq C4 Permanent Trim Restorer" once per year.......
It's fantastic and I renewed some trims on the Defender and its very long lasting threatment

Great, so the Disco has become an off roader you cant drive off road because the paint scratches easily and when left parked deteriorates in front of your eyes.

Gotta tell you Del, there's rules about belittling the "For Sale" ads, had that rule applied to regular posts, your post would have been yellow carded.
And apart from anything else, you would have been crying till the cows came home had you been allowed to pay out 64 plate wonga, only for it to fall apart in front of your eyes every time the sun came out ( which probably isn't often that far north )Mods:
