Going to pick up my D3 on Monday.........But will I keep it?
At long last I pick the D3 up on Monday.
Then off to Broadfields to pay my bill before going to pick up the digger.
Hopefully a stress free 625 miles home after that. Got to admit that I am s ing myself about breaking down.An honorable defeat is better than a dishonorable victory.” ― Millard Fillmore

Having difficulty with that because it has a loaded 3.5t trailer.
Will look at ADAC though.

Not anymore, leaking rear Aircon pipes confirmed. Looks like Wednesday now.
On the bright side they have found the leak that wasn't there and are repairing it. So happy that they double checked it. An honorable defeat is better than a dishonorable victory.” ― Millard Fillmore

Finally picked the D3 up today and am on the ferry now
My initial impressions are .....well I am a bit underwhelmed. That said I have only done 90 miles or so
Will see how I feel over the next 500+ miles before I get home. If it don't break.
I was amazed that the phone hands free is not BT and the SAT NAV well!

And a lot tidier than mine. Especially after I start pulling it to pieces.
And don't let my experiences stress you out, yours will be fine.

Just got home. 625 miles and an average of 19.5 mpg with digger. That is not bad.
Need to get some shut eye. Then at the risk of being a bore. I will post the good, bad and the UGLY.
Hope you got back alright Del.

Yep, back home and had a good night sleep after a couple of nice beers. Off tomorrow back up to Sortland to get my stuff.
Piece of advice. Keep a proper log of fuel, it'll let you know what the actual consumption is. This serves two purposes. Lets you moan about the trip comp accuracy (or lack of it) and helps you spot issues that increase fuel use like binding calipers. RoadTrip for iPhones is brill for that.
