at my wits end....
So... I have 2 things happening that are driving me mental.
every day or so... the engine light pops up with the P0171 and P0174 error indicating lean condition. I know that this can be a vacuum leak, or injectors, even wrong % of ethanol. So... I have ripped everything apart a dozen times now trying to see if I have a vacuum leak. Cant find one. Period. Just cant. I have run injector cleaner through the tank. Used higher octane fuel. Used octane booster even. It returns every day or so.
Today it gave a engine performance warning. Coolant temp sensor warning. I removed the code and will wait an see if this one comes back. I am always suspicious the first time a code appears.... call me crazy
Last... I rebuilt the front eas block. Every 2 days? I get a suspension height warning. Turn the car on and off and its fine. I was getting a random error for the suspension height. I replaced the suspension relay. Rebuilding the eas fixed the sag at night. Replacing the relay also solved my compressor staying stuck on problem. A simple restart makes the error clear every time.
Ideas? Burn it? Blow it up? Losing patience.... 05 LR3 SE V8 Zambezi Silver
From my understanding, the EAS might be a chafed wire in the rear wheel arch area, it's worth looking into.
The lean exhaust reading DTC could be due to a leak on the exhaust manifold allowing it to draw fresh air into the exhaust before the sensors.

You need to do a smoke test to satisfactorily test for any leaks in the vacuum system, I had this on mine and we eventual found a hole in the dipstick where it had broke away from its bracket.
I made my own smoke tool using a 5 litre paint tin,
I drilled a hole in the side near the bottom and attached a valve from a bicycle tube, to this I attached an air pump (ie one for inflating tyres),
I then drilled a second hole in the lid and attached a length of hose pipe with a funnel attached, the funnel needs to be roughly the same size as the pipe going to the air filter box.
Attach the funnel to the air hose that you have detached from the air filter box seal it on with gaffer tape.
The put a lit smoke pellet in the paint tin and close the lid, i used the type used to check chimney.
Turn the pump on and this will send the smoke though the system don't let the pressure build to high and if you have vacuum leak you should soon see the smoke exit form the hole.
Quick sketch:
As for your compressor issue, I was having an issue with orange and sometimes red warning lights, that could mostly be cleared by a restart, I solved it by refurbishing the dryer on the compressor, new desiccant, filters and end cap.
Hope that helps==================================

Funny... I did see the bracket was broken and patched it using JB Weld. That was a few days go. I may go after it again.
Ill give the paint can idea a shot as well...
I was contemplating the dryer as the next part of the puzzle. The compressor was replaced.
TY much gents!05 LR3 SE V8 Zambezi Silver

Dipstick can be replaced, one bolt at the bottom and a bit of fiddle to get it out through the gap and the same to put it back.==================================

Well... update of sorts.
I took apart the vacuum lines and hoses on the top of the motor. Took out the PCB valve. I have been suspecting the leak is there. I tightened the MAP sensor down. I then took carb cleaner to the hoses and the PCB valve. Re arranged the o rings and used some bearing grease on them to get a seal. Its been 2 days now and no error.
We shall see.
Suspension hasn't pulled a warning either... yet.
Feels like a million bucks right now. Probably should sell it LOL.05 LR3 SE V8 Zambezi Silver
