Compressor Change - Settings gone -Solved

Hi,

Changed the hitachi to a AMK Compressor

Comp up and running, Relais changed...so far so good

When hardware work was finished, wanted to do the neceassaery adjustments / software update in the car electronics.

When I got my ney iid-bt-tool half a year ago, i saw ther was a simple switch to change between the two compressor types...

Not a big thing!

But couldn't find these option, as I was now going for it. Question

Tried again and again, searched forum here and another, remembering a read something like "settings for compressor gone..."
Neutral

Solution was: Thumbs Up
Only if You have the firmware 2481 as "actual" in Your iid tool, You can find these Settings, but only after reflashing the containing ECUs
In my case I had a custom firmware at least, in which these settings are not included.

I was not keeping in mind, that a firmware could only content parts of the system.

Patrick of GAP helped me with that and pointet me to what firmware, that was still selcteable in the pull down table of my iit update tool, was to "put on top".

Pat stated, that only the ECU reflashed are overwritten, so, e.g. an EGR-Mod would stay active.
