transmission advice req'd |
|
Got a slight judder in transmission when fully loaded with people the other day - never had it before. the Gbox was megaflushed at 78k (doubt it was done before that by the PO) Its now at 116k. I asked a local transmission place how much to change the TC as I read on the list it must be on the way out and they reckoned £3k as the gbox would need looking at to. Is this a little excessive? I'm thinking I should change the sump and filter and refill manually with some dr tranny and see what happens. Or is that just wasting time and money as the TC is FUBA already? 2006 TDV6 HSE Wrapped Matt Black STOLEN NOT RECOVERED

put mine in at Bristol Transmissions to have the judder sorted with new torque convertor at 117k, it came back with a rebuilt gearbox as apparantly it had a collapsed bearing, luckily my warranty company picked up a large portion of the bill, which was £3100, I had new bearings and shaft fitted on the transfer box whilst it was off, so rebuilt box approx £2500, and they fitted a new sump
