Boot light query
Has anyone tried to fit more lights in the boot headlining trim as even with an led bulb in there it is pretty poor. Just wonderdled if there is room behind the panel to cut out two more holes and fit extra lights and piggy back off the existing one in the hopes of some decent light in the back.2006 TdV6 HSE.

I placed 2 LED strips on the lining beside the bulb.... they are really bright enough Dave

Looks plenty bright but me being a bit fussy definately prefer something that looks factory. I'm the sort of person that would have to have a carbon fibre bonnet painted to match the rest of the car. Insane but logical in my mind 😀2006 TdV6 HSE.

I fitted a PCB with eight LEDs on it, bought from eBay, about five years as ago, fits where the old bulb was. Still going strong and very bright. Illuminates the ground at the rear of the car, very bright

I removed the lamp holder from the headlining in the boot and replaced it with a LED strip about 18 inches long.
I just used doubles sided tape to hold it in place and it covers the hole underneath so look as if it should always have been there. It's flexible enough to curve along the shape of the headlining.
All the other interior bulbs have been replaced with LED equivalents, which brightens everything up a bit.

Maybe an easier answer especially for factory look is to unplug the 6/7 seat lights and wire them into the second row seat lights and as led bulbs already fitted power draw should still be within the wirings limits?

Yeah there's loads of room, go for it.
LED's draw very little power, a regular bulb would draw more than 3 or 4 LED's.Mods:

Cool. Can be a little project for me. Now just need to find a couple of the lamp holders and away we go. Will do a write up and some pics as I'm going. 👍2006 TdV6 HSE.
