| 2005 Discovery 3 TDV6 speedometer not working |

My discovery speedometer has stopped working. Everything on the instrument cluster works including the trip meter! the only thing that doesn't work is the speedometer and the red park brake light which is supposed to illuminate when the park brake is one. This red light is in the centre of the speedometer dial from what I can tell.
There are no fault codes coming up on the Nanocom. The EPB functions as it should.
Is it the instrument cluster itself? Seems strange that the speedo and the EPB light inside it are the only think that doesn't work?
Any ideas where to start, cheers John
