4 years in... and all good so far

Last week I gave the disco3 its pre-MOT annual clean inside+out, it scrubbed up nicely considering I treat it like a builders van and my kids treat it as a bin. Passed with no advisories which was nice surprise. Granted, I had recently done discs and pads all round and put 2 new Grabber AT3s on the front, but still good news.

Then the next day I had to jump in and drive to Amsterdam to pick up some stuff for the missus' business that had been forgotten by a shipping company. There and back in 24 hours, an effortless comfortable trip (in a pleasant valeted interior that smelled nice for a change!) And it carried a van-load's worth of stuff in the back. It brought back memories of how good it felt when I first bought the thing.

Ok so there's been the odd unpleasant bill, but nothing you wouldn't expect of a 12 year-old vehicle. On balance I can't think of many other vehicles as versatile, useable and comfortable.

Oh, and I checked the mpg brim to brim on the Dutch trip and it worked out exactly the same (equally Censored) as the trip computer! Maybe the V8s are more accurate than the diesels?
