Does the spending ever end ? ...... of course not !!!
A couple of months of D3 ownership and although I love her I can see I'll need deeper pockets. First shock was road tax (£520) and a hike in insurance (£100).The EPB fault and lack of power she arrived with were free fixes, a broken wire and a stuck actuator. The EGR blank and subsequent remap (£200) were a performance bonus and the 100k service, belts oil pump etc etc (£400) an essential too. Now after a trip away with a rumbling front end, slight flutter braking and a squeal from the rear, its another £500 on hubs, rear bearings discs pads and shoes all round.
Without doubt the most expensive car I've ever had .... thank God I don't have labour on top of all that !!

Welcome to the club my friend. 9 months in and so far new air con condenser, new torque converter, all fluids changed, two front wheel bearings, two rear upper arms, clock spring, filter pan on gearbox, mega flush, all the belt tensioners (bit of an own goal from a deep swim), new battery and probably some other stuff I can't remember right now! Still enjoy it every day

...... and just to prove the point, after fixing all the brakes I can see black smoke on the test run ... and of course the intercooler pipe is split ! Money for a window tint kit, RRS 19" alloys and 2 new tyres today doesn't count though !
