| Intermittent knocking from from suspension.. |

Have an 05 D3 the previous owner spent a lot on bushes and front wishbones, however in certain situations there is an annoying knock.. Donk.. Usually when turning right but only occasionally and some times when the vehicle sways due to road camber. A friend has suggested who has owned both D3 & 4's that it's a steering rack fault, any advice before I blindly replace parts?

Try search on here for anti roll bar bushes, or just ARB.

I had this sort of noise on an early D3 and it was the loose bottom UJ on steering column . There was Service bulletin about it in, I think, 2005. Also as mentioned ARB bushes.

Thanks for the advice found a earlier helpful post with photos how to do the repair.. It appears to have made a difference. Will dig a little deeper for the steering update..
