I bought another D3 to go with our G4 8)
This one is 2008 diesel and right hand drive - part of our plan to move back to the UK
About 120,000 miles
I have the EML light come on and stay on most of the time from cold. Sometimes when hot it will go out.
I don't have access to a diagnostic tool however as it is very sluggish, lots of black smoke from cold, I'm thinking one or both EGR valves need changing or blanking - looking at the blanking kit instead of several hundred for two new EGR valves
I'm happy to pay someone to reset the EML light next time we come over to the UK in it
I've also just changed front & back brakes as the pads were low, and slowly working through the other service items when I get time. Weekly mileage is low as I'm mainly working at home for the moment

| EGR blanking to 2008 Disco 3 |

I've ordered the EGR blanking kit today from Bell
Is there a mobile mechanic who can upgrade the software for me:
Somewhere near Kingsbridge Devon TQ7 2BP week commencing 19th June ?
It's booked in for MoT & Service on Monday 19th - so should be available on Wednesday that week

EGR kit arrived today - great fast service from Bell especially as it was a holiday here on Thursday

I'd also check the elephant's trunk for leaks - gives sluggish ride, light and smoke. Simple to replace.
