Suspension Problem

Hello,

I have a problem with my suspension. I changed my compressor but I think problem not come from compressor.

Yesterday I measure my height like that, before testing my height is high position and fuse 3 removed.

Front Left 57cm
Front Right 56cm
Rear Left 59cm
Rear Right 58cm

After 24 hours I measure again

Front Left 50cm (7cm different)
Front Right 53cm (3cm different)
Rear Left 53cm (6cm dıfferent)
Rear Right 55cm (3cm different)

Any idea where is the problem ? I'm crazy about that Big Cry

Regards

Hi
Looks like you are loosing air fairly equally on all four corners.
That is odd because with the fuse removed I think all the valves should be closed.
One of the suspension gurus will correct that if its wrong.
If you get excessive compressor running, which is often what causes them to fail, check the air tank.
They corrode along the weld which is out of sight in the inside against the chassis.
Also check the air couplings on the valve block between the air tank and compressor, squirt or brush soapy water on them wait then look for bubble foam.

good luck finding your problem.

Hi,
I would suggest to do a revision of the three valve blocks, by cleaning them from white remains coming from the silica-salt from the old dryer.
Them replace the o-rings and reinstall the valve blocks to check again by using the EAS and checking overnight with pulled fuse method and document it as well as You did before.

But I thought it is Fuse 26 or so, to be be pulled, isn't it?!

Found this after a quick search:

Hi!
They are both reachable with some time to spend on it.
You will sure find some hints, searching for it on here.

The front one is on the right, in front of the wheel, behind the plastic wheel housing.

The rear valve is on the left side. If You take the wheel of and follow the Anti-roll-bar You can see and reach it.

The valve in the middle is covered under/over the East compressor housing

It makes sense, if You want to do it properly, to get Yourself a set of o-rings to replace the old ones first,
But cleaning out the solenoid chambers and lubing the valve a little bit might have an effect as well.

When Your working on it, possibly checking the air tank is also good, as the tend to fail because of oxidation on the welds.
You could get it out and put it under pressure, then test it with leak-search-spray or soap water....

Recalibrate the ride height sensors, the car is constantly self levelling overnight.

Hi!
If the EAS drops uneven, its not going to be repaired simply by pulling a fuse or calibrating it.

The fuse26-method of checking is especcialy anwsering the question, if there is a leak in the pipes and the airstruts behind the valves. It tells You not: whole system free of leakage.

Without spending money on spare parts You can do the following:

- Take the three valves completely apart, see if there is white silica powder gathered/sticking in the valves and lube these valves
- Inspect the height sensors and their rods
- Read the faults for issues
- Check the air tank for leaks[/list]

Today I tested again with fuse and off road heigth. After 36 hours Front Left and Rear Left 3-4cm down. Right sides seems to be normal.

My problem solved. This problem from front valve block. I changed all orings etc. now perfect. At this time I also changed my compressor with AMK. Old one is too hot and stopped sometimes. Now suspension is perfect.

And also update software with IID Tool for AMK Compressor
