Got my new unit - the old one has done well at 12 plus years. I see a white nylon tab with a finger pull, which holds the rotary parts in relative position. I assume this is pulled out after the new unit is mounted. Could someone please confirm?

Success. Air bag light off. The finger tab breaks off after the clock spring is screwed in to place.
