Unless the cars are personally owned by the franchises (which is not usually the case), then LR themselves assure be that these cars are finally being decommissioned now (as of my conversation with the around 3pm today).

I did a LRE day recently and they were all D5's, likewise when I bought one of the last RRS1 models in 2013 by the time I got to do the LRE day it was in a RRS2.

Yep - got mine...
Interesting that LR are interested in pushing the D5, whereas my local dealer couldn't give the proverbial stuff!
Had the D4 (3 years old plus a month or so...) booked in for the 80k service and had originally spoken to one of the sales team when trying to get hold of the service team. As such, I'd asked if they could try to tie in a full day in the D5 with the time that my vehicle was under the knife...
Guess what - no knowledge of the request and I was in a Jag XE for the day
Off to Luton Hoo on 20th Aug for a play - taking Jess as my guest as she's only previously played with a D5 in her official role and she want's to do the whole 'consumer' experience... D4 Commercial - 65 Plate, 2016MY
D5 Commercial - Handed back when I left that job…
D4 Commercial (2014MY) - gone
D4 Commercial SDV6 - Baltic Blue (also gone)
D1 300TDi... 2" lift, HD bumpers (both), detachable tow hitch, 9,500lb winch, 235/85/16 muds and plenty of other toys (gone to make way for the next toy...)
Smiles per Mile - Tornado Motorsports caged Evo 3... 100" Defender look-alike, with Range Rover running gear - all fully IVA'd and registered!

LR Experience "banked" mine on my account.
I was also told I had another half day from a new purchase last year. They hadn't sent me it because they didn't have a full address? They banked that one too.
And I had a third banked from an old purchase.
They did offer me a full day if I wanted to combine two of them and I could redeem when ever I wanted to. Thing is half a day shared with SWMBO is enough, I'd get bored to tears if I were in for a full day.

I'm thinking about doing one of the treks in my own one. Dunkeld had one on Fathers Day but I was working. 23.5MY Defender 90 X-Dynamic SE D250 MHEV Pangea Green

I'm off to Dunkeld this weekend to play in a D5 for a day
It's been a few years since I last visited, in a Freelander. Really impressive

I was there in April 2012. Thing is, it's a bit of a trek to get there and there's only one in Scotland.

Nah its not that far to Dunkeld surely from Dundee. I came down from Stonehaven last month and it was quicker than i thought it was going to be, although i was driving like Miss Daisy

Great day today, these vehicles have tremendous off road capability
Thank you Lucy for a fantastic off road experience in the D5. After an extended test drive in an admittedly very plush D5 I'm not in any rush to change my D4. The middle row seats are so low they seem like an after thought, no use for my 6 foot passengers.
Lovely drive home over Glenshee, beautiful.
