Battery Terminal Lubrication/Corrosion

What do people put on their starter battery terminals to make a good corrosion free connection.
I'm thinking maybe copper grease? Question

Surely not another product... Will something else do?
I read somewhere that Vaseline has too low a melting point - true or false?

Used to use terminal spray until it ran out of propellant. Now use Vaseline. Old school but appears to be working ok.

Avoiding jokes about where in the house I might find Vaseline Rolling with laughter
I don't think we have any of such lubricant. So I'm going for this..

At least I'll know I have some next time I have the battery out etc.

I got some conductive grease from a traction battery (fork lift type) supplier
It's red coloured, same greasiness as petroleum stuff - used sparingly since then never any corrosion.
Also applied to earthing points too. Often forgotten.
Before that I used "gun-blue" liquid....that is a good anti-corrosive I've used on high current vehicle electrical fittings at work (emergency power & sprinkler engines)
 BREXIT - done properly.
Right now ...We need Government - not Politics
Save the Dipstick Flagbearer-keep it simple, less likely to fail campaign-agenda items:Starting Handles, Acetylene Lamps.
Founder: Dipsticks-R-Us Inc
D3 HSE-perfectly formed, passenger friendly...has real DIPSTICK
Jag XK-but sadly no DIPSTICK...HUGE design fault
FL2 has DIPSTICK..."real comfort in rear seats"
VW Golf wondermobile (?)..has real DIPSTICK
Morris Minor..original DIPSTICK technology..and a real KEY.

Literally any grease will do the job, especially on the disco where its well protected by covers etc.
The special stuff is nice but not needed.

Old plane mech told me years ago only a little needed as to much can create a path for the elec to escape, not sure how true that was though?

You could use it as an excuse to get some dielectric grease.
I got this for winch terminals which take the occasional journey under water....
