Anyone got a Vango Kalari air awning?

I've been looking at these and I like the shape and roominess.
My concern is the last line in the sales ad.

"PLEASE NOTE THIS AWNING IS DESIGNED FOR FAIR WEATHER USE –
ALSO IT IS NOT INTENDED FOR SEASONAL PITCHES"

Are they saying its OK for normal use in UK weather but don't take it to the arctic ?
Or is it just flimsy?

I would rather get 'real world' answers if possible, than hear it from the salesman. Thumbs Up

I've used one of their motorhome air awnings on an Avondale caravan. They seem well made and withstood high winds, when it picked up to a storm force wind I dropped it but it was deforming rather than ripping to pieces, my Isabella awning would have been dropped at the same time though, winds were recorded at over 100mph about 5 miles away. If I were in the market for an airawning I would happily buy one.

we have the 520 and the extra space in it is amazing so much so we sold the full size awning as no longer have a need for it. Also it only takes about 20mins to put it up and blow it up.

Thanks 44ark.
We hope to do the same.
We have a nice Bradcot awning at the minute but we fancy the extra space, and since there's just the 2 of us now (may as well be one when it comes to putting the awning up !!!).
We are going for the Vango Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

Got a 420 Kalari and I like the extra depth 420 x 320 into the bay, but it's a heavy awning to put through the awning rail - but we leave all the panels in. The original bag is a big lump of a thing so I've split ours into two Isabella bags - an awning bag for just the awning and a pole bag for everything else - they sit one on top of the other across the car up against the luggage guard.
Make sure the rear is pegged down against the van before inflating and only pump up the main airbeams to 4 psi to start with otherwise the front roof beams are difficult to fit, then finish off to 7 psi before doing the rest of the pegging. We don't normally fit the centre roof beams and don't use any straps - just peg down all round at the base, but we normally have the awning on the lee side of the van. Edit: and we never use the rear poles, just the velcro pads.
The Vango tailored carpet (£70 ish) is quite a good fit and is thick, soft, and lightweight, although a bit bulky in its storage bag - ours sits full width of the car between row 2 headrests and the luggage guard.
Quality wise I would say it's not as well made as our Ventura full poled awning, but it comes with a 3 year warranty, unlike the Kampa equivalent.

I have a vango varkala 420 (newer version) best thing I ever bought... Took it for a trail in midwales Gwern-Y-Bwlch Caravan Club Site, had a half decent storm which made quick work of some older traditional awnings with no upset Thumbs Up
