Does anyone know whether the Disco3 GS 17 inch wheels that come as standard will fit a disco 2001 TD5 model.

Probably, but like fitting RR (L322) alloys, you'll need new wheel nuts, and possibly centering rings, as the hole in the alloy is slightly larger than on D2, so without the rings, the wheels run like they are out of balance. All Disco and RR models from P38 and D2 have the same bolt pitch circle at 120mm.

They will fit, but you will need spigot rings, and a set of D3 wheel nuts
