Idle Speed

Does anyone have the idle speed figures for the TDV6? My 0606 SE model seems to be idling at 750 rpm which seems high to me but it seems to be running ok on the road, i.e. not pushing too much on the brakes when being held at the lights for example.

Many thanks,

750 sounds right, both of my D3's have been about the same

Mine's also at around 750rpm.....mine's an auto unlike Slimer's, so it varies slightly depending on if you're in Neutral or Drive (with the brakes applied), but 750 is a good average...

You think it's high? Most engines run at around 800 +-50 rpm when warm. Thumbs Up

After a few runs through the lake at Tong, my idle has dropped to around 550 - 600.
On the road my engine now 'hunts' as i pull to a stop.
Even stalled a few times -it's an Auto!!!

Bet you can´t adjust it anyway, the idle will probably be hardcoded into the engine management, if it can´t achieve it then it´ll just put the fault light on Sad
 Cheers

Shocked Ditto. Starts, but coughs and nearly cuts out again before settling into a very lumpy idle. Once warm it's fine.

I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.
