Topix membership and self servicing
Hi Team,
I'm coming up to 112000 miles on my D4 and she will be due a service including timing belt. I've been quoted circa £1400 from main dealer and Indy' for this work (it's even more in Poland where I'm currently on holiday. Had the 96000 mile service done here last year at the Land Rover dealership in Krakow and that was cheaper than the UK, must be the current weak pound)
Anyway, on all previous cars, as soon as they are out of warrranty I conduct all servicing myself with the aid of the trusty Haynes manual and internet assistance as I don't like to pay for something I can do myself.
In addition to the big service that is due, I now have the brake pads worn indicator come up (never rains but it pours) which means it would be a very expensive trip to the dealers on our return.
I've looked for a Haynes manual for this car but it doesn't seem they do one for a 2012 HSE. On searching this site, I have seen a recommendation for TOPIX. I have registered with them and I am now looking at different subscription options.
Has anyone got any experience with these and what worked/ didn't work for them?
Any help greatly appreciated👍

I signed up to topix and used it to do a total rebuild of my D3 starting by taking the body off and rebuilding from ground up. Everything you need will be in topix and depending on you're own desire, willingness and ability you can do it all yourself by following the very clear and concise instructions.
Good luck Disco3 project

Hi pal, thanks for the quick reply.
Did you go for he full package including bulletins etc or just the servicing?
How long did you take it out for?

I just did the servicing for model type specific (rather than the full monte). I signed up for annual subscription as I did a lot of work on the car so it was the most economical for my needs.
