Wish i could mix and match

I love the D3 i have, it functions perfectly for me, both in comfort and in ease of access.

Then i look at the D4 and think i wish i could have those headlights on the D3 WITHOUT having to loose the bumper the D3 has.
I may be strange but i actually like the D3 bumper visually more than the D4. Same as the grille.

My plan is to get the D4 tail lights and fit those

So i wonder if i could:
Fit the D4 style headlights with the Drl's without changing the wings and bumper and grille.
I doubt it, because of the design change.

So then i wonder if the headlights can be taken apart again and some DRL type fitted and made functional.

I know i can get LED strip and make the light itself, (done it before on bikes and other inferior make vehicles Rolling with laughter )
So come on electronic wizzers,
With the Canbus on the D3, am i going to run into issues if i fit a Normally closed relay and power the switch with the sidelight feed?

has anyone done either on their D3?

D3 lights come apart easily with a little heat, search for detango thread, many have added led rings etc inside, personally not for me, but the detango gives an updated look, I retained the side indicator to look D4 style

D4 lights are harder, but member Sergy seems to have done it Thumbs Up

Obviously NOBODY reads a post, just reads a skips most of it then makes smart Censored comments, rather than actually helping.

Thanks.

Love it when a new member comes on asking for help, then proceeds to shoot Censored at long establish members offering help, sure fire way to not get support Thumbs Up

Sadly unlike ASDA we don't have Roll back Rolling Eyes

Had you bothered to use the search function, you'd have found your answers rather than letting someone else do the leg work

Shall we start again?

Whatever.
Ill ignore you from now on.
Attitude of a skunk.
You were a new member once, so theres no difference between you or me.
Also you DIDNT offer help, you just waffled on about something which i HADNT asked. But then you didnt read my post so how can i expect you to offer help?

My question is fairly straight forward, but you seem to slag me down because YOU cant read a simple question.

If this is what LONG STANDING MEMBERS are like, then frankly the forum is in demise.

Although i think its just you having issues.

Someone else was happy to help, rather than claim im making stupid posts

SO my point is Beanie, read my post, then tell me you answered my question, or that my question was wether i could open the headlights?

My question for your hard to understand brain IN SIMPLE TERMS

can i use a standard normally closed relay without upsetting the canbus system?

It was quite clear at the bottom of my post, perhaps now you can see how YOU have acted an Censored ,

Oh great, Sniper, you might be just what this forum needs. Thumbs Up
We've not had a genuinely stupid person on here since "packing strips" and he brought dumb to a whole new level but you're even exceeding him. Please keep it up.

You're not on the same clown level as AAA, but hey, keep at it kid, you're on your way. Thumbs Up
