I've never been a fan of HDC, ABS or the feet off on simpler stuff. In slippery conditions some times you have to ride the storm and act according, I can think of several occasions where I would have had an incident if I had relied on technology or followed the book.
But that said
I've been driving on all sorts of surfaces since I was a kid.
Spent years trialling and on other motorsports
And you beat the laws of physics. MY14 post man pat van

And lots of other stuff in my shed, on my driveway or abandoned in the village

Mitsubishi outlander
And a Suzuki X90... Only drive that at night
