I mounted a tow ball bike carrier to my 2012 D4 and the tail lights do not work on the carter. All other lights do. All vehicle lights work fine. I tried the carrier on another vehicle and the tail lights work fine so the fault is not with the carrier. Does anyone have any ideas please?

I would start by checking the fuses for the towing electrics. They are in the left hand side cubby in the boot where the detachable towbar is stored.
If they are all ok, you would need a multimeter to check the supply from the main fuse box.

Are they LED lights on the carrier?

I've looked in there and can't see any fuses, just a handful of connectors.
