Really ? A whole new door card ?
It's probably been asked before,but a friend has asked me to speak to the learned people on here for some guidance.
He has damaged one of the large speaker covers, forward of the interior door handle in the rear door,and spoke to his dealership about a replacement cover.
He's been told it can't be replaced as a stand alone piece, and requires the replacement of the whole door card.Before he sells one of his children to pay LR prices, he asked me to check if anyone can confirm if that is the case or not ?

YEP! and they cost about £400
I cracked my rear speaker grill on the last one. Took the door card off and added a light coat of airfix glue and "snapped" the honeycomb back in place. just about invisible MY06 S - Gone but not forgotten

The logic made sense when door cards were reasonably cheap - simply replace the whole lot to save the faff.
Now that a plastic door card costs an eyewatering sum the logic looks questionable, but this is more down to ludicrous increases in JLR part prices than poor design.Land Rover - Turning Drivers into Mechanics Since 1948

He's had his car for 2 years now, so he's run out of major organs,and is moving on to relatives.....I think it's his least favourite child that he's earmarked,so the pain shouldn't be too long lasting.... Greg,my friend bought Steve Raspberry's old car.....64 plate D4 with the works so I assume it's the premium sound system (if that make a difference to the grills) ?

If it were me (who's a tight old North Yorkshire Scotsman) I'd try to fathom out some form of repair.
Even down to adding a speaker grill with surround, over the damaged area and repeating it on the good side for balance..... but all depends on exactly where and how the damage looks!
Certainly wouldn't be paying out anywhere near £600. ....... not even £60. I was a normal heterosexual chap, but in these new woke awakenings I now identify as a Wardrobe.

The problem is it's being part-ex'd for a D5 this month, and I'm pretty sure that would get spotted.....especially as Dan responded (above) and it's happening in his place "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool,than to speak out and remove all doubt" ?.....what rubbish...

Thats why i glued mine up and they didnt spot it is it just cracked ? or a hole? if its cracked you (or he) might be able to do what i did MY06 S - Gone but not forgotten
