To the question of cheating in the campaign, here's an extract from a letter published in today's FT, in which the correspondent quoted a judgement from the High Court of Justice:
Quote:If a candidate is elected in breach of the rules for elections laid down in the legislation, then he cannot be said to have been ‘democratically elected’. In elections, as in sport, those who win by cheating have not properly won and are disqualified. Nor is it of any avail for the candidate to say ‘I would have won anyway’ because cheating leads to disqualification whether it was necessary for the victory or not.
I rather like that. It has a sense of British fair play about it. Oh well, yesterday's world, and all that. Mustn't dwell in the past, unless it's to dream of buccaneering free trade.
The judgement is here. MY91 110 CSW, so long ago I can barely remember it - sold

Talking of news, I also read today that DExEU is stepping up its plans for the "seriously very overly hard no deal Brexit", in which the M26 is due to become a lorry park. HMGOV has decided to hire 900 traffic wardens on the grounds they'd be more use than 900 customs officers, since the idea of open trade is hopeless (Liam Fox declined to comment). In other news, Gavin Darby, CEO of Premier Foods and President of the Food and Drink Federation, said some companies were increasing the stock of ingredients on UK soil in preparation for hard Brexit.
He declined to comment in detail but his director general said there was a shortage of chilled and frozen storage facilities in the south of England. I guess they'll have to eat cake, then. (The North can eat crisps.) MY91 110 CSW, so long ago I can barely remember it - sold

Think more than a few think they are something special too. IFA these days is code for someone who fills in an online form and reads out the "advice" the computer tells them to tell the client.
I know. I write the software that does it.
The last year? No, two years at least, but not whining and whinging. I believe your wish to leave the EU is misguided at best, and seriously wrong-headed at worst. It's not a whinge, but since you use pejorative language, you can see how the two sides in the debate trade brickbats: tit traded for tat, for tit for tat, etc. I have said this before.
Your tilt at IFAs is telling. Like most trades in life, there are the good and the bad and many in the middle. Shame on you for dissing them all as bad. I suppose you must be the deus ex machina of robo advisors. Respect ... err, no, not respect. I think you're tiresome. Silly. That's all. MY91 110 CSW, so long ago I can barely remember it - sold

So if the EU can agree to trade freely with Japan what is to stop them neogtiating exactly the same deal with the UK for BOTH services and goods.

Or maybe because Japan has something the EU wants (or needs)....and the UK doesn’t... or the EU can get what the UK does have to offer from countries already with trading agreements so no need to take the effort to open another agreement ?
It doesn’t have to be because of spite
