MY10 D4 strange fault reading

Driving home last night the 'Restricted performance' warning came on. When we checked the faults with the IID Tool we got this:
PCM-Engine SDV6 • P2264-00 (28) Water in fuel sensor circuit ( on 14-03-2017 15:29:03 at 98281 mi )

Now the problem is that the milometer reads 97721. Anyone have any idea why there should be a difference in the milage readings?

Looks like you have the common water in the fuel sensor. You will need a new fuel sensor housing which the fuel filter attaches to. If you search the forum, you will find lots on it. LR replaced mine and it was about £180 if i remember correctly for the sensor, new fuel filter and fitting etc. Will costs you less at an Indy or DIY.

May be changed the Odometer/Cluster when car was nearly new? Have you bought it used? the difference is only 500 mls, do not worry about it

We came to that conclusion after the visit to the garage.

I bought it when it was just 3 years old. Yes the 560 mile difference isn't worth worrying about. It was more wondering why the differnce Smile
