remap to cancel out faults after egr valves blanked
Hi,
is there anyone in the Merseyside area who can remap my disco 3? 2007
last summer had an engine fire, due to failed egr valve. Had them blanked off while on holiday, but ever since every so often goes into limp mode. Now fed up stopping and restarting! Need it sòrting

For some reason I couldn't get on last night and reply to any messages?
I think I just need a patch to cancel out D3 going into limp mode all the time?
there are a few other niggles I need to investigate first though!
I have a hissing noise coming from rear of engine block, drivers side? Its baffling me. It is noticeable from the cab but until the other day I got a friend to look also. Flipped the bonnet and had a look around, still cant find it but if you hold the brake line pipes going to the servo, they pulse at the same time as the hiss? If the engine is revs higher the pulse and hiss is in syn ? When the engine is stopped there is a hiss as if its dumping air?
friend is coming on monday with a video camera on a flexible tube to see if its behind engine?
think I need to sort this out first. Also I get an exhaust smell in the cab now and then.
engine runs fine, not using any oil and temp is fine?
When it does go into limp mode, and it normally happens with the smell of exhaust in the cab, eml light doesn't come on. But suspension lowers, roll control light comes on, another orange light comes on, no handbrake warning, special programs switches off and other warnings flash across the screen?
I am driving it today so I will write down exactly what happens .
Sounds like your cross over pipe for the exhaust is split, if not could be the vac pump at the rear of the engine.

why do they make vehicles so hard to work on!
