Creak / click from dashboard
Hi,
My 2013 (out of warranty) D4 has a click or a creak from behind the dashboard when you turn corners or hit a bump. the noise get worse / more frequent whan the car is warm.
I've tried to track down exactly where the noise is coming from and it seems to be towards the bulkhead and in the cerntre portion.
i've done a search and found the TSB about the bolt under the cerntre speaker - i made sure that is tightened correctly.
I've also has the centre console and the trim either side of the radio out to try and find the noise - but it seems to be further back in the dash.
I think that it may be the dowels that position the dash on the bulkhead. as I understand it the insulation around the dowels dries out wen the car is warm and allows the dash to flex as the car is driven around corners.
Has anyone else had this problem - and if so have you cured it?
Is there anyway that you can wedge the dashboard against the bulkhead to stop it moving? If so how do you get to do it?
Any pictures of a stripped dash could be helpful too (although I don't really want to strip the dash completely - for fear of making the noises worse)
Many thanks
Paul

Thank you.
That's the TSB that I'd found.
I have tightened the bolt to 13Nm - it didn't seem to make much difference.
Having said that i didn't release it completely before tightening - i was concerened what might drop off if I removed it too far!
